this was my first and probably last Bonnaroo, waited ALL DAY Sunday in the heat for Phil, and I was NOT dissapointed (phil never dissapoints me) this show was definitely the highlight of the weekend, rockin out in the rain, about 30-40 feet back, on the center rail, right in front of Phil and Joan. Joan is awesome, Phil fucken rocks, and I had a blast before driving back to Connnecticut right after Phil went offstage. A must hear set!

This show was my first time seeing phil. The opening date of his tour busting out with monster hits. uncle john> jam > cumberlan, big river into the most famose jam ever scarlet>fire and then >wachtower and then rider. I mean come on this was amazing and then starting off the second set with shakedown. this was an amazing set list. I'll have to say i was front row center right in front of joan they put on an amazing show but it was raining, it was cold, I had to push my way threw 80,000 people and i didnt have a shirt. I had to leave durring the jam after shakedown. I had tickets to the last date on the tour at 10,000 lakes. And I'll have to say bonnaroo should be experienced but the smaller venue at 10KLF was way more enjoyable. and it turned out I got front row center right in front of joan(the most incredible, sexxy woman alive) again. Magic happend at 10,000 lakes. scofield was off at bonnaroo you could tell he didnt know the music that well. but hes fuckin scofield him being off is still amazing.

Bonnnaroo takes place a mere 35 miles from my house, so naturally it's a regular part of summer agenda... this is a really great audience recording of one of the best Phil shows I've ever seen (although the show 2 nights later @ The Ryman was pretty awesome as well).
I suppose the soundboard will eventually be sold on livebonnaroo.com, since it's not available on InstantLive, but this will certainly get the job done in the meantime...

joan osborne rolling?...likely not...sounds like a pretty standard Pigpen Caution rap to me...a nice homage to the Primal days. Check out some early Pigpen Cautions...fierce! good sound considering the outdoor venue, jams are the highlight.

I saw this show streamed by AT&T. Though they cut away for the last half hour for a Trey and Mike set, what I did see was amazing! Joan is so fucking hot and she was unbelievable during New Speedway Boogie.

This was a great ending to a wonderful weekend. Larry and John are a fine change from past couple of years. I rather enjoyed Joan's raps. It was kind of a 2006 clean female version of Pigpens's raps. Ok that might be stretching it a bit. But she seemed in charge at times. No blistering moments but a good family vibe throughout. It is always great to hear waves of cheers sweep across the 600 acres after a great finalle at Bonnaroo.

i was of course really fucked up during this show but i thoroughly enjoyed it... i'm not a huge fan of phil's vocals but they were bearable since he didn't sing that much. joan sounded really good even though at one point her "rap" was her basically telling everyone in the audience to go out and have as much sex as possisble (i'm assuming she was rolling on somethin). during the second set it started pouring but the rain didn't deter too many fans. in the first set there were some mic problems, when phil started trying to sing what i think was the second song and all the other mics went out so they just jammed for about 10 mins until they had been fixed. overall a pretty good show... nothing spectacular but an awesome crowd and a hell of a place to hear some dead tunes.

Man this show was fun. Lesh, Scofield, Molo, Osborne, Campbell and Barraco... the lineup simply doesn't get any better then that. Scofield definately tore it up and Joan's voice sounds amazing with the band. Not to mention everyone else in the band was completely on point and sounded terrific.
I mean, sure, I was completely wasted and don't remember some of the set, but from what I do remember, this was by far one of the best sets of Bonnaroo (falling right behind Radiohead's stellar set).
Good times, great music, good people. Get this show!
